Throughout the years, the Clermond-Ferrand Christmas market has established itself as a not-to-be-missed event for Auvergne's residents. Basking in the light of its illuminated tents, this holiday season's big event will be held in the Place de la Victoire, from November 28th to December 30th, 2009. Christmas lovers will enjoy strolling through the walkways of this village bringing together more than 70 chalet-style stalls. The vendors, hailing from France or elsewhere, will offer crafts, fine food, and original gift ideas.

The chalet-style stalls on the Place de l’Hôtel de Ville (in front of the town hall) are back this year in Saint-Etienne, decorated in festive colors and lights! The market features forty or so chalets selling handicrafts from many countries and Christmas specialties: nativity figurines, table decorations, gift ideas, and clothing… and let's not forget the delicious odors of roasted chestnuts, cinnamon, mulled wine, and gingerbread! Santa's workshop will entice the little ones, while older kids can enjoy the ferris wheel set up especially for this occasion.
